This document outlines the syllabus for an interaction design fundamentals course. The goals are to familiarize students with interaction design principles, the design process, and develop skills to conceive and design interactive products. The class will involve lectures, in-class assignments, student presentations, and critiques. Students will complete projects in three parts: research on users and competitors, rapid concept design, user research and personas, and low-fidelity prototyping with scenarios, storyboards, and wireframes. The projects will be organized in folders on an external drive and presented throughout the semester. Grades will be based on attendance, participation, assignment completion, comprehension, and meeting specifications.
