Krishna explains that worshipping his divine form through bhakti yoga is superior to worshipping his impersonal brahman feature. Worshippers of Krishna's form engage in direct association with God through practices like meditation and always keeping their minds fixed on Krishna. This is illustrated through the story of Maharaja Ambarisha, a great devotee of Krishna, who was protected from harm by Krishna's disc when a mystic yogi named Durvasa tried to curse him. Durvasa himself then took shelter of Ambarisha, showing that among all spiritual practices, devotion to Krishna's divine form is the highest.
