Crossref Metadata Manager utilization: The BSPM experience

The update to Crossref Metadata it´s essential for all members. The new Metadata Manager1
tool is
utilized for a small publisher journal of Mathematics ‘Boletim da Sociedade Paranaense de Matemática’ -
BSPM. Published since 1953, and it´s one of oldest Brazilian Mathematics journal.

Results
Easy tool to new content or updating all fields metadata. These records are
processed immediately, the not processed or failed are possible to work on
other moment and the process to update is continuous 2 3 4
. It´s necessary
to copy and paste clean characters - txt, html, doc, … - or typewriting
directly on the fields. To work for various metadata, don´t have ORCIDs
interoperability. The match of the reference list is fast .
Conclusion
On the analysis and work to the tool is very easy and fast. The interface is
interactive and to visualization all the time the work. It´s important to
journal staff update to all possible fields in one time to a record. The
access to information on the editorial flow in your journal for the additional
information and the full-text article. The metadata updates are processed
fast and immediately.

In April 2018 to tests to utilization on a beta version of MM5
. Are conducted
from 2 months on twice stages: 1) inclusion of new metadata to a future article
accepted ‘in press’. 2) updated/enriquecy the formerly published article
metadata. Will be displayed seven figures to MM workspace the BSPM
