between the best and worst intranets.”

– Designing Usable Intranets by Nielsen Norman Group
Search usability is important. Nielsen Norman
Group calculated that a 10,000-person company
whose intranet had poor usability would waste
$15 million per year in lost productivity in
comparison with an intranet with good usability.
