While keywords in URLs can help with rankings, it is more important to focus on readability, preventing cannibalization between product and category pages, and consistency. Keywords should not be stuffed in URLs, which should read like normal English phrases when said aloud. Cannibalization occurs when one page is inadvertently optimized over another, such as when keywords are included in product page URLs but not category pages. URLs also need to be consistent in their use of www, http/https, file extensions and capitalization to avoid duplicate content issues.
