DESIGN FOR CHANGE Name of the School : GPS Hamalibasthi Name(s) of the Participants:M.Mallesh IVth class Shiaram IV Mamatha IV Durga IV Aswini IV HM Kusumakumari Naandi K.Ramulu , Subasini, Sandya All School Teachers ,School children& Community People.Concept:Reduce the plastic uses Expected Outcome: The community people should use only paper bags Place of the work: HamalibasthiSupporting Document : PhotosDescription of the Programme: Day by day in nature so many changes are coming .The reasons for all these changes are water pollution and the human beings are also one of the reason .Due to these pollution living beings are effected by so many diseases so we have to reduce all this pollution part of reducing this we have to reduce the usages of plastic ……… this message was given by the GPS Hamalibasthi school students to the businessman’s and to the community and children are taken promise from them. Port of “DESIGN FOR CHANGE” program Naandi foundation and Government primary school Hamalibasthi has died a program on Non usage of plastic and pollution. Part of this children prepared paper bags and they given those paper bags to kiranashops and in hotels not only giving paper bags, students conducted meeting to those shop owners and to hotel managers in the community it self .In that meeting students told that we are spending so much Money purchasing of plastic cavers and bags. One packet of plastic caver which contains 50 plastic covers worth Rs/15 Rupees to 20 Rupees so for each cover costs 40 paisa. But for the paper Bag it costs only 5 paisa. Students also given idea on how to make paper bags .Daily your buying one news paper its costs only 3Rs,finally you will sold all the papers monthly to outsiders. Instead of selling those papers to outside you can make 30bags with those papers’ children prepared bags in front of those people. All are appreciated children. Even we are encouraging the nature pollution indirectly through the factories. If we stop buying the plastic covers automatically the factories will stop producing the plastic covers. So, we will stop the usage of plastic usage and we will be protect the health of our sand others too. The Hamalibasti school children conducted this workshop for community for 3days .The community people and and the shopkeepers and hotel people given promise to children that they will stop the usage of plastic. All are appreciated children for their Brilliant idea and the presentation of idea to community.In this programme school H.M, Naandi foundation co-coordinator are appreciated. Impact / Change: The community and kirana shops and in hotels also they are using paper bags only. even people also prepared and using paper bags .they completely avoided plastic.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
