Lesson 5 - Peer Marking of Individual Analysis

Students were instructed to email their music video analysis to another class member for peer review. They were to watch the other student's video twice, taking notes on the second viewing. They then read the analysis and provided comments on what was done well, could be improved, and may have been missed. A grade of A-E was given along with a short summary explaining the grade. The reviewed analysis was then emailed back along with feedback. Students were to incorporate at least two points from the feedback into their original analysis.

- 2. Today… • Email your analysis to the other member of the class you have been given. • Watch their music video (headphones please!) once without taking notes. Then watch it a second time and take notes. • Read their analysis and comment on their work – what they did well, what could have been improved, and what they may have missed. You are free to watch their music for a third time if you wish. • Give them a grade (A-E) and write a short summary of why you have given them that grade. Then email their analysis back to them. • Once you have received your feedback, please take the comments on board and incorporate at least two points into your original analysis. These could be new points that your marker has identified or a change to a point you have made which needs clarification or further depth.
