The summary is: 1) The LibX toolbar provides search options for finding resources owned by OIT libraries, books at other regional colleges, electronic journals, and items in Worldcat. 2) Users can enter search terms in the toolbar to search across these options or drag selected text to the Google Scholar button for a relevant search of scholarly articles. 3) The Article Linker button alongside Google Scholar results shows if OIT has access to full text of any articles found.

- 2. The Tool Bar Once you have downloaded your toolbar this is what it will look like: This will be under the main browser tool bar, and above any tabs you have open. If you do not see it right away check for the OIT logo in the lower right of your screen.
- 3. Searching Enter what you are searching for here. You can search by any of these things. Click here to add more fields, such as if you want to search by author and title Click the enter key to start your search, this will open a new tab or window in your internet browser

More Searching Clear any text and options by clicking here You can search by these options: OIT Libraries – find what OIT owns on any campus Summit – searches books at over 30 colleges in the Northwest Electronic Journals – find out if OIT has a journal electronically by searching for the title Almost anywhere – search in Worldcat for books and journal titles
- 5. Google Scholar Highlight the text you want to search then click and drag it to the google scholar option on the tool bar. This will do a search and open up a new tab or window in your browser with the results. Click on the Article Linker button to see if OIT has a copy
