Customers are routed to a connection pool by organization id, which sends all users from a customer to a specific DB server. Application servers connect to a shared set of Query/Search, Cache, and Index servers, which determines the nature of access into the database, and provides the interface into the Database server complex.

Database Servers (20 total) EU CS Test NA AP TBD New Subs Database Servers: 4 node, interconnected, vertically scalable database servers house the schemas and execution horsepower for each of the defined databases. Database servers are extremely mission critical, with current operational capabilities to deliver ~99.9 % uptime, with a cluster environment that allows redundancy and protection from system or database failures (Sun failover and Oracle RAC technologies.) Each server in the complex has 5 Oracle instances – 1 for each database.
