https://youtu.be/rZFicoPThbw
 Activities:
 en.islcollective.com
Procedures
 I am going to greet my students and make a lovely comment about what a pleasure it is
to share classes together.
 “Hello, children! It’s a pleasure to meet you”.
 “How were you this week? Do you remember that you are working? Would you like us
to remember?”
 We are going to reinforce what was learned in previous class (Work spelling: capital
letter, question mark, exclamation mark), this video will serve as a review of the theory
learned previously, in this class the use of the capital letters will be worked on
especially, but listening and sentences in context with real examples will also be
practiced.
 For this, students will have a worksheet where they have definitions from the video, and
they will have match with examples.
Rules
A- The first letter in a sentence I am tired.
The car is red.
B- Pronoun I John is a policeman.
Mexico is a big country.
C- Names of people They are going to the shop.
The statue of Liberty
D – Names of cities, countries, etc. Carl is 19 years old.
Big Ben
E – Names of buildings, monuments,
etc.
I am going to order ice cream
 They will have the following link to see a video https://youtu.be/rZFicoPThbw (from 0:49
to 11:30 minutes).
 Then, we will correct the worksheet and I will ask you some questions: which rule do
you remember? Can you give me an example?
 To finish they must create sentences using the examples seen in the video.
 “Today we are going to work with capital letters.”
 I will write the sentences from the video on the board. The idea is that they can see how
and where to use capital letters.
 Here they relate the sentences with the rules of the use of capital letters.
 I will ask you questions about the words, why is there a capital letter here? And here?
Activity 1:
 Here the students will be able to practice the rules learned, using their observation and
attention skills.
 The activity consists of observing sentences and correcting them by adding capital
letters where they are necessary, following the spelling rules explained in the previous
class and in the video seen.
 “Pay attention! Now we are going to carefully observe the sentences and considering
what we saw, we will place the capital letters in the place that they are necessary”.
 They will have this activity on photocopy, and they will work on it individually.
 At the end of the correction of sentences, the students must explain what rule they
followed when placing the capital letter. For example:
Sentence 1: “the” is capitalized because it is the first letter of the sentence.
Transition: “Very good job children, now we are going to do a little more complicated job”
Activity 2:
 Here the students will practice reading and observing through a fragment.
 First, the teacher will invite them to mark the words that should be capitalized.
 “In this activity I invite you to mark all the words that for you should be capitalized, look
closely and then we will correct orally.”
 The activity will be individual at the first to mark the words, but then we will work it in
groups and orally to see the mistakes or explain why. The idea is to generate interaction
and participation among all.
 To finish we will read the fragment first in English and then in Spanish, the students will
also be asked to add the unknown words to the glossary.
 To finish the students will copy the text in Spanish.
 " To finish we play hangman on the blackboard, each student will write a phrase or
word from sight on the day, considering the use of capital letters.”
For example:
_____ _____ ______ ______ (The car is red)
 Finally, I say goodbye to them "I'll see you next class, it was very nice to see you back,
take good care of yourselves.
