This paper presents a new droop control method for the parallel operation of active power filters (APFs) aimed at improving power quality by effectively sharing the harmonic workload among multiple filters. An enhanced phase-locked loop (EPLL) is employed for harmonic extraction, enabling better performance in environments with noise, and simulations demonstrate significant reductions in total harmonic distortion (THD) in various load conditions. The proposed technique showcases the adaptability and reliability of APFs in dynamically adjusting their filtering capacity based on non-fundamental apparent power.
