The Objective
The Purpose or the Motive should be understood.
The Subject
The in-depth analysis and explanation of the Objective.
The Audience
the material should be in considerate to your audience.
Tailoring your talk to your audience is very important.
The Place
it can be of great benefit to be familiar with the
surroundings.
The Time

be to the point.

Always know exactly what you want to say
and the order in which you want to say it.
Selecting the Main Points
Introduce your audience to the key points – Explain and
expand your points – Summarize your Points.
Decide whether to Illustrate
The structural basis of a good presentation is
illustrations. The presentation is more interesting and
intriguing with illustrations.
Introduction and Conclusion.
Introduction and Conclusion are the same. Introduction
should have the preview of what you are going to say
and present. The conclusion always repeats the main
point, however in different words and different flow

Harnessing the Power of Three
The brain finds it relatively easy to grasp three points at
a time. They can be ideas or numbers. Its is easier to
understand and remember than four or more.
What, Why, How?
Try to structure your presentation by addressing the
questions “What?”, “Why?” and “How?”.
What - identifies the key message you wish to
communicate.
Why - addresses the next obvious question that arises
in the audience.
The result is that you have the audience on your side
immediately.
How - is also the next question that naturally arises in
the audience’s mind: how are they going to achieve
what you have just suggested. Offer suggestions as to
how they can act

Sometimes visual aids are necessary to maintain interest
and assist comprehension. So the following forms of
visual aids can be used.

Practice Deep Breathing
Smile
Pause
Slow Down
Move Around
Stop Thinking About Yourself

Treat your audience with the respect you would like to
have shown to you. Answer their questions directly and
honestly. If you do not know an answer then say so and
offer to find out and ensure that you do so. Questions
can be neutral, friendly or hostile. Never be rude to the
questioner or show you are upset. Do not
compromise yourself but maintain your point of view
and never lose your temper.
