The document presents a study on a smart detection and control system for reducing electrical energy consumption in educational buildings, named SISDECE. Utilizing hardware components like PIR sensors and microcontrollers, along with software for real-time monitoring, the system aims to minimize waste by automatically turning off devices when no human presence is detected. The results indicated an average energy saving of 12.51 kWh over a measured period, highlighting its potential as a benchmark for energy management at Politeknik Negeri Medan.
