This document describes a proposed garbage management system for smart cities using LoRa technology. The system would involve setting up smart waste bins equipped with sensors to detect fill level and harmful gases. The bins would transmit sensor data via LoRa technology to provide real-time bin status updates and alerts. When bins reach a certain fill level, the system would notify waste collection vehicles to optimize collection routes. The proposed system was designed with an Arduino microcontroller interfaced with ultrasonic, IR, and gas sensors to monitor bins remotely. LoRa technology allows long-range communication without much power and could provide a more efficient waste collection process.
