Consulting Project Charter TA&R Lean Office Desk Standardization Process Map Number:   N/A Black Belt :  Sibyl Carley Process Owner:  Maria Salgueiro Champion:  Robyn Watson Implementation Coordinator :  Maria Salgueiro Expected Benefits:   Hard Savings – N/A Employee Satisfaction - reduced aggravation and time searching for needed information Customer Satisfaction - requests fulfilled faster Freed up space Improved work flow Project Timeline: Customer CTQ(s) :  No pain experienced by HR Advisors when the need arises to locate items (files etc.) in the work area and on a team member’s desk when that team member is absent. Problem Statement :  Currently, when an HR Advisor team member is absent due to any reason, great pain is experienced by anyone who must search for items/work on the absent member’s desk. Project Scope: Includes JEA Downtown Tower Building T-6 TA&R HR Advisors’ desks and work areas. Does not include other Talent Acquisition work areas or other locations. Goal Statement:   Reduce the pain experienced by HR advisors when they need to locate work to assist customers on the desk of an absent team member. 5S Event Charter: UG Splicer Van SSSC Event Dates:   Week of April 18, 2006 5S Area:   UG Network and Commercial Maintenance  Facilitator(s):  Pennie McGuire Sharon Patterson Sibyl Carley Sponsor:   Jeremy Mathews Team Members: Emmanuel Carter Earl Bussell Daniel Stump Charlie Nelson 5S Objectives:   Reduce overall weight of UG Vans to below the GVW if 19000 Balance the Truck – truck is heavier on the left side and leaning  Reduce the weight of the truck – currently heavier than the GWV Standardize truck layout – move from one truck to another Optimize efficiency through better organization of materials Material is easy to get on and off trucks safely Maximize productivity of crews  5S Problem Statement:   The UG Network and Commercial Maintenance vans are loaded heavier than the manufacturers weights specifications and the trucks are loaded heavier on the left side causing the trucks to lean to the left. This uneven distribution of weight causes trucks to get stuck easier and more ware on tires.
