This document provides details on two consulting projects involving process improvement through 5S methodology:
1) A project to standardize desk organization for HR advisors to reduce time spent searching for files when team members are absent. The project scope involves HR advisor desks and work areas in one building.
2) A project to optimize the organization of materials in underground utility vans to reduce weight, balance loads, standardize layouts, improve safety and efficiency, and maximize crew productivity. The vans were overloaded and unevenly distributed left-heavy loads.
