The objective towards the proposed approach
● IoT has emerged as the most promising technology in the fourth
industrial revolutionary paradigm
● Wi-Fi has a widespread utilization in IoT applications
● Drawbacks of Wi-Fi in adapting to specific environments such as
“radio-quiet zones”
● Valid alternatives for Wi-Fi in those applications: Wired ethernet
network and Powerline communication

Pulse oximetry and Powerline communication in system
● Simple, painless test that measures the
amount of oxygen in the blood.
● A probe, which looks like a clip, is placed
on a body part like a finger or ear lobe.
● A low cost and low power sensor based on
the Pulse Oximetry 8000AA has been used
here conjunction with the OEM III module,
to acquire data and send it to the
processing unit built by Raspberry Pi 3.
● GC8802 of the gridComm as the powerline
module.
● Several Operating modes.
○ Broadcast Routing Master configuration for
the Master Control System
○ Slave mode for the Powerline network client
