Virtual Forum Theater (VFT) is a computer-based learning experience that combines drama, technology, and face-to-face interactions to help youth develop skills like argumentation, expression, and conflict resolution. The VFT process involves script improvisation, discussion, and using a VFT toolset to record and animate plays depicting situations of oppression. Studies with youth groups found that VFT improved social awareness, argumentation, and expression while also being engaging. The role of the facilitator was important in enabling technology use and deepening discussions.
