God does not cause suffering in the world, but rather people cause their own suffering through their actions. Krishna, as the Supersoul, judges people based on their right or wrong actions, similar to how a judge sends criminals to jail. While Krishna wants people to be happy, he allows suffering so people can reform, yet many do not listen to his teachings. If everyone followed Krishna as devotees, there would be no more suffering in the world and all would be happy.

STANDARD IX CHAPTER 13 BODY, SOUL AND SUPERSOUL Krishna knows you better than you yourself do So be careful in what you do& don’t think that no one is watching you Lesson-04 IF GOD KNOWS EVERYTHING, WHY IS HE NOT DOING ANYTHING WHEN THERE IS SO MUCH SUFFERING IN THIS WORLD? God does not cause our suffering. We cause our own suffering by our own actions. Krishna, as a Supersoul, acts like a judge. He awards or punishes according to our right or wrong actions. Judge sends the criminal to jail so that he can reform. Yet, Krishna as our well-wisher, does come again and again to this world to teach us how to live with principles and become happy forever. But the fools don’t listen to Him and suffer.
- 2. If everyone in this world becomes devotee of Krishna, there will be no more suffering in this world and everyone will be permanentlyhappy.
