The paper proposes a novel hybrid modulation control technique for frequency-modulated switch-mode power converters (SMPC) that significantly reduces output voltage ripples and peak currents while minimizing electromagnetic interference. The technique optimally modulates both switching frequency and duty ratio using the same modulation signal, demonstrating improved performance over traditional methods. Theoretical analysis and experimental validation show lower conducted emissions with slight increases in peak-to-peak output voltage and currents compared to conventional frequency modulation approaches.
